Holcim AMEA Team Visits BOTON to Discuss Green and Intelligent Conveying Cooperation

The Holcim AMEA team recently visited BOTON headquarters for a strategic exchange focused on green and intelligent conveying solutions for the building materials industry.

The visit provided an opportunity for both teams to review existing cooperation, discuss future development needs and explore how advanced conveyor belt products, digital monitoring technologies and global service capabilities can support more efficient and sustainable material handling operations.

Strengthening Cooperation in the Building Materials Industry

BOTON Chairman Bao Zhifang, Senior Vice President Tang Yu, who also serves as General Manager of Bainiantong, and members of BOTON’s senior management team welcomed the Holcim delegation and joined the strategic discussion.

During the meeting, BOTON expressed its appreciation for Holcim’s long-standing focus on operational excellence, sustainable development and high-standard management across global markets. The AMEA region, covering Asia, the Middle East and Africa, represents one of the most dynamic areas for infrastructure, cement and building materials development.

BOTON and Holcim have built a strong foundation of cooperation across multiple countries. Their collaboration in conveyor system solutions has supported material handling operations in demanding industrial environments and has continued to expand in both scale and technical depth.

From Product Delivery to Integrated Conveyor Solutions

In recent years, cooperation between BOTON and Holcim has continued to deepen.

This year, BOTON completed the delivery of a 1,050-meter pipe conveyor belt to Holcim in the United States within 25 days. BOTON also delivered 35 kilometers of ultra-low rolling resistance steel cord conveyor belts and intelligent conveyor monitoring systems to a Holcim plant in Bangladesh in three batches within 5 to 12 weeks. The project also included conveyor belt installation and commissioning services.

These projects demonstrate BOTON’s integrated capabilities in conveyor belt technology, manufacturing delivery, intelligent monitoring and global field service.

For customers in cement and building materials, this type of integrated support is increasingly important. Conveyor systems are not only equipment for material transport; they are also key assets that affect energy consumption, production continuity, maintenance planning and operational safety.

Green and Intelligent Technologies for Sustainable Material Handling

The exchange also highlighted BOTON’s continued development in green and intelligent conveying technologies.

BOTON pipe conveyor belt systems provide enclosed conveying, flexible routing and reduced material spillage. They can help shorten conveying routes, reduce dust and noise, and improve environmental performance in complex plant layouts.

BOTON’s ultra-low rolling resistance technology optimizes cover rubber formulation to reduce conveyor running resistance and energy consumption. This technology can be applied to different types of conveyor belts and is especially valuable for long-distance, high-capacity conveying systems.

BOTON’s conveyor health monitoring solutions combine IoT technology, data models and remote management functions. They support real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance and condition-based management, helping customers identify risks earlier and reduce unplanned downtime.

In addition, BOTON has continued to advance green material innovation, including the development of carbon-neutral conveyor belt solutions and bio-based conveyor belt solutions. These technologies reflect BOTON’s long-term focus on improving conveyor efficiency, reliability and lifecycle sustainability.

Supporting a Lower-Carbon and Smarter Future

Looking ahead, BOTON will continue to work with Holcim in the AMEA region and other global markets to support greener, smarter and more sustainable material handling operations.

Through continuous innovation in conveyor belt products, intelligent monitoring systems and field services, BOTON aims to help customers in cement, mining, ports, power, metallurgy and other bulk material handling industries improve operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact and build more resilient conveyor systems.
